The University of Queensland's main campus at St Lucia has a history of being a popular training spot for road cyclists, as well as having a high population of staff and student cyclists.

Connectivity
The main access to the University is along Hillside Terrace and Hawken Drive more to the south (including from southwestern suburbs across the Jack Pesch Bridge), and Sir Fred Schonell Drive and a nearby back street route more from the north (including from the city and northern suburbs along the Bicentennial Bikeway. The new Green Bridge will allow direct access from southern suburbs.

UQ has a Bicycle User Group [1]. It was dead for some years and resurrected in 2007.
