The Tennyson Riverside Development is a development of a new tennis centre, apartments and parkland on the site of the old Tennyson power station.

Cycle facilities

The developers, Mirvac, have committed to provide a cycle path through it to connect King Arthur Terrace and Ortive Street [1]. This is intended to cater only to slower, recreational cyclists. Commuter cyclists will be able to use the new road through the development, which will allow them to avoid Tennyson Memorial Avenue and the flyover to Fairfield Road, which is a fairly high traffic and dangerous area. Cyclists such as those on the river ride will be expected to continue using the existing road and flyover as they currently do. [2]
