Buses

In Brisbane, bikes can be carried on specified bus routes on buses fitted with bike racks for no additional charge.

Trains

Citytrains

Bikes can be carried for no additional charge on all Citytrain services except peak times:

The 1st and the last carriages are preferred for bicycles as the central carriages are more heavily patronised.

Fold-up bicycles in bags are permitted at any time.

Traveltrains

Bikes can be carried as checked luggage on Traveltrain services excluding the Tilt Train and Spirit of Capricorn, which do not have appropriate baggage space. There is an additional charge of 20% of the adult economy price.

The bike must be made flat, with handlebars turned parallel with the frame, and pedals and saddle bags removed.

Ferries

City Cats

A City Cat

Bikes can be carried for no additional charge on City Cats. The newer, larger City Cats have small bike racks at the stern.

The West End City Cat stop has a secure bike shelter, with swipe card access available for an annual fee.
