King George Square cycle centre

The King George Square cycle centre is an end-of-trip facility in the car park under King George Square in the Brisbane CBD. It was constructed by Brisbane City Council and the Queensland Government in conjunction with the Inner Northern Busway development [1] and opened in June 2008 [2] [3]. It is operated by fit2work, which refers to the centre as cycle2city [4].

Facilities

The centre includes 420 bike rack space, individual lockers, and showers. All members get a free towel daily, and there is a bike workshop within the centre.

Cost

Access to the centre costs $5 per day for a six month membership, or slightly more for shorter periods [5] [6]. Casual use is also available for $5 for the rack only and $5 for a shower and towel.
