Indooroopilly - Moore Park unfenced pedestrian access

This section of the Western Freeway Bikeway at Indooroopilly, adjoins a sports oval and basketball court. There is a large section of the bikeway here which is unfenced and unsigned and this allows pedestrians, especially children, to enter the bikeway without any warning. The problems of pedestrians using this bikeway is increasing. The bikeway hosts much fast commute traffic and there is a real risk to cyclists and pedestrians of a fatality or bad injury. This was reported to Main Roads on 24 Jul 06. A response was given which claimed that MR were unaware of any unfenced sections. A photographic record was sent to MR on 27 Aug 06. As of 10 Sep 06 there has been no further response.
