Fig Tree Pocket - Norman St Pedestrian access

This is at one of the entrances to the newer section of the Centenary Highway/Western Freeway bikeway. The innermost section of this bikeway between Fig Tree Pocket Road and Norman St has a pedestrian walkway which parallels the bikeway. There are many problems with pedestrians using the dedicated bikeway sections and this is made worse by Main Roads inconsistencies in their provision of warning signage which varies at each entrance to this bikeway. This entrance provide pedestrian access in one direction (inbound only). The two pathways are separated but the signage provided by Main Roads is confusing and probably not per the design manuals.
