Eleanor Schonell Bridge (Green Bridge - Dutton Pk/St Lucia)
The Eleanor Schonell Bridge opened on 17 Dec 2006. This bridge carries a dedicated bikeway from Dutton Park to St. Lucia as well as dedicated bus and pedestrian carriageways. A brief audit on opening day netted a few pictures of problems for cyclists. These are posted here with little comment at this stage.
Sign should indicate peds on left and bikes on right.
An accident waiting to happen. Poor design detail.

A radical, narrow right angle turn off the bridge into two way traffic plus peds.
Least the braile trail is better positioned.
The ped xing stuff up still visible.
Awful obtuse angle of entry with poor drainage, silting and a high pedal trap kerb all from a 30kph road.
