Cyclepod

Cyclepods are a compact, circular, vertical parking structure for up to eight bikes. They can secure the frame and either wheel with a D lock (or both wheels with two locks or a longer chain).

In April 2007 Brisbane City Council installed six pods at ferry terminals as a cheaper alternative to their larger capacity and more secure bike shelters. The ferry terminals equipped with cyclepods are:

• New Farm Park,
• Sydney Street,
• Brett's Wharf,
• Hawthorne,
• Mowbray Park, and
• Guyatt Park
