Can't say I've seen much at all in the way of arguments against  
helmets. There is however a lot of good material out there that argues  
against forcing adults to wear them. Most of the arguments I've seen  
in favour of mandatory helmet laws seem to be of the quality of Mich's  
nurse friend's anecdotes.

It's interesting how people regard anything a doctor or nurse says on  
this subject as the opinion of an expert. These are lay people and  
most are making pronouncements outside their field of expertise.
