King George Square Cycle 2 City 
http://www.cycle2city.com.au/site.php?content=home is running a cyclist 
awareness ride on 20 March 2009 at 4:45pm.

Starting at 4:45pm at the Cycle Centre, there will be a presentation from 
an experienced cyclist about understanding the attitude of drivers, the 
Top Ten riding tips to avoid being hit by vehicles and also cover off on 
other road rules particular to cyclists and their responsibilities.  This 
is a presentation that has been run for employees of Brisbane City Council 
and Brisbane Water in the past and has been favourably received.

Following the presentation at about 5:30pm we will be riding a circuit 
through the city terminating back at the centre.  This is not a critical 
mass ride and riders will be encouraged to ride within the law and not to 
engage vehicles or their occupants.

Representatives of the Queensland Police Bicycle Squad will be in 
attendance and riding with us and the ride is supported by BCC Active 
Transport initiative.

interested in improving their knowledge of how to ride in traffic.
