I'm having some trouble with:

a) the evidence to support this claim
b) its relevance to the subway system of New York
c) its application to cycling or transport more generally in Queensland

but I think you should consider writing the USA book for the Jetlag Travel 
Guide series (so far they've only done remote destinations like Molvania and 
Phaic Tan, so they could use a more major destination).
